One thing that bugs me - the article seems focused on the 1-2% that have life impacting pain (the text book definition of pvps). I suspect many of those that seek treatment are like me - they have mild to moderate pain that is tolerable but is something that we wish wasn’t there. It all goes towards letting people know the real risks. It should be couched in terms of “between 15 and 30 percent will have some degree of chronic pain with 1-2 percent being severe.”
