You can have hope too

I too have struggled as you do. And still I do. We are all desperate for hope. But you likely will not find hope or peace or calmness within this forum. Maybe some insight, maybe more stories of pain and suffering. If you are lost and broken, then to the One who knows you from the inside out. God loves you! In this thread I offer prayer. State your name and I will be on my knees in prayer for you. There IS HOPE!

The Ending
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:11, 16, ESV).
Spoiler alert: In the end, Jesus Christ wins.

Scripture tells us repeatedly and pointedly that Jesus Christ, the Mighty Warrior, is always victorious. Make no mistake about it. Jesus is going to win. Someday the clouds will break open, and we will see Him on a white horse (Revelation 19:11). His powerful appearance will be breathtaking and terrifying: “His eyes are like a flame of fire. . . . He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. . . . From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords” (19:12–13, 15–16). With simply a word, He will instantly set the world in order. In the end, Jesus Christ wins.

Accelerate Your Prayer Life
All of history leads to Jesus’ victory, and all of God’s promises culminate in Jesus. We experience God’s promises through Jesus.

For example, do you need peace, that calm assurance that God is in control? Ephesians 2:14 assures us that Jesus “himself is our peace.” Remember, God doesn’t dispense peace like a pharmacist filling a prescription: “Take two, and call me in the morning.” He gives us Himself. God doesn’t have to give us something. He is the something! Jesus Christ fulfills the promise of God’s peace.

It’s Christ’s presence that takes away fear.

It’s Christ’s sovereignty that assures and calms us in the face of doubts.

It’s Christ’s goodness that renews us when we are weighed down by despair.

It’s Christ’s watchfulness and intervention that keep us from faltering.

And it’s Christ’s inevitable victory that assures us we will not fail.

When we think about times of trial in our lives, if we really pinpoint what’s most difficult about the trial, it’s the not knowing. The biggest reason why we fear, doubt, despair, and falter is that we don’t know how it’s all going to end.

Every one of us lives with some level of uncertainty. You’re not alone in this struggle. You have some insecurities in your life right now; I’m living with some question marks too. Yours might take the form of a health crisis, a broken relationship, a financial problem, a wandering child, a self-destructing family member.

Think of the stresses that keep you awake at night, those issues that linger on the edges of your thoughts and never fully go away. If you definitively knew when and how that circumstance would end, you would be okay. If you could foresee that it would end well, then you could bear the waiting. If you could predict with certainty that it would end badly, then you could prepare yourself for what’s to come. It’s the not knowing that pushes you to the limit.

A football team doesn’t give up because they lose a few yards. Their focus is on the final score, not one bad play. We fixate on our momentary trials (2 Corinthians 4:17), wondering, How will this finish? If only we knew.

We do know.

God is always victorious. Ultimately, I will not fail. Sure, I will experience some pains and losses along the way. But in the end, because Jesus wins, so do I.

With what uncertainties are you living right now? What stresses keep you awake at night?
How does Jesus’ ultimate victory change your perspective on trials here and now?

Lord God, by faith I choose to lift my eyes from my momentary trials to the final outcome. Jesus wins. No matter how my life looks or feels today, ultimately Jesus wins. And as an adopted son or daughter of the living God, because Jesus wins, I do too. Teach me an eternal perspective, Father. Though life is painful, it’s short. I set my heart on eternity, and I thank You that I know exactly how this all ends. I pray in the name of Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords, amen.

Thank you for your prayers.

I’ll be praying for you tonight Aaron. God loves you and cares for you greatly!

“"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I might be late here and don’t know If this tread is still been checked but I know prayer got me through alot of bad stuff, I believe that sometimes God’s choice is not to heal right away esp. When the thing your going through is the only thing bringing you to your knees, I believe he is working in me for a testimony, the pain is still bad but it reminds me that I need prayer , and 2 or more in agreement is a good thing thanks for the prayers …Björn.

Björn, you are spot on.

I’ll be in prayer for you. Stand firm!

“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

thank you for your positivity and prayers. I’ll pray for you all as well!

Thanks George!

But fear is the complete state of anti-God. Never are we less of what He desires for us than when our hearts are filled with trepidation and anxiety. Panic freezes our capacity to trust and falsifies the future, giving us a distorted view of what’s ahead. Do fear and worry help anything? No. Do they manage to stave off the object of our fear? No. “Which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life” (Matthew 6:27)? No one.

God knows you, He sees your situation, and He knows what you need. Don’t draw false conclusions about His heart toward you. Draw down upon His love and strength for you. Don’t be afraid to live by faith.

Lord, thank You for Your mercy and grace toward me. Thank You for knowing every fiber of my being, including every anxiety, yet loving me and drawing me closer. Give me faith to combat my fears. Give me fresh confidence in the promises You’ve made. Help me trust Your heart and who You say You are. And help me live boldly, without worry, because You are my shield and protector, my refuge and strength, my strong tower and my ever-present help in time of trouble. I trust in the saving heart of Jesus, and pray these things in His mighty name. Amen.

(Psalms 9:9-10) The LORD will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

(Psalms 14:2) The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

(James 2:14-17) What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

(Matthew 7:7-10) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

(James 5:10-11) Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Yes! We have been hit with a heavy thing. This choice and now this pain and this anxiety, every day, always consuming our minds. Stand firm men, God is rooting for us. Encourage one another. Love well.

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬

God cannot lie. His Word is true!

Before all this happened to me before the vasectomy and the pain, i struggled with my faith i prayed only now and then, forgot most of the time, then one night i felt that something wasnt right, i prayed for a renewal of faith, couple weeks later God was using this pain and suffering to grow my faith. im not saying he caused it but he used it, i prayed ,i begged God to help me, I fell down into the dirt and pleaded and then he lifted my anxiety he gave me hope. For two months i felt like i was free, like i had my life back.,what did i do? i forgot again, im ashamed to say it but i did and now im back to the fire being forged, my anxiety is through the roof my pain has returned and im having all sorts of reactions auto immune wise ,ive seen now that doing this on my own strength gets me nowhere i need God and i need
Fellowship. thank you for the prayers guys God can heal and will heal but he is more interested in your heart first…seek him first and all shall be added unto you, we are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ that is our identity bought by his blood who can be against us…

Praise God for you and sharing your story. I’ll pray for you right now. Gods got his hand on you for sure. Maybe it is back to the fire so back to the floor in prayer you should go. Never a one and done filling of peace but;

“one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:5-6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

One loving Father, many fillings of peace. Renew your mind by reading the Bible, Gods love letter to us.

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I’m not doing so well looks like my reversal failed
I’ve gotten the auto immune symptoms back again and my pain is in full force I don’t think I’m gonna make this mentally I’m busy losing it pls help pls pray…

I’ll pray for you now. When did you have the reversal, and where?

Was on the 16 Nov 2017 I’m from SA

I am aware of nerve pain and congestive pain, but what is auto immune symptoms like?

If you had reversal in Nov 2017 then you are only 4 months out. Others have posted on this website that it can take 6 to 12+ months to achieve pain relief from the reversal. Also during that 6 to 12+ months you’re pain will vary, change and go up and down like a terrible roller coaster ride. It’s rough but hang in there for at least 12 months.

Yes its just concerning cause all my symptoms post vas pre reversal are back .

Auto immune issues I get :stiff achey muscles
Dizzyness, ibs like symptoms, hightened alergies, nerve issues like tingling in the fingers
Its just a foriegn feeling

I know im only four months out and it takes time for the internals to heal,i think actually something like 18months,so im hopimg this is justpart of the healing process its peaking my anxiety so sleep at this stage is a bit bad which make healing even harder to do,i have to still do my sa
I guess whatever that outcome is decides my path from there in hindsight it could by anxiety causing my issues and not my immune system.

How are you doing now? I am scheduled for a reversal in a few days. I am trusting God through it all. But it’s not easy.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I wish you well with your reversal and recovery to full health

I want to bump this thread and ask if anyone out there would like me to pray for them. I am in the healing phase myself post reversal by three months. My back pain is with me every day, yet I have hope, and so can you. The hard things in life were ment to bring us to our knees in prayer before Almighty God to admit we don’t have it all together. I need help. My help comes from the Lord, in Jesus Christ, and this help can be yours if you want it. Let me pray for you.
