Took my first dose of Cialis

#12

Need to start looking to why this works at all. Its not 100 percent cure at all. But for me I have relieved pain in my epy and some in my chord. Too much movement still can egg things on but I recover quickly.

I took about 1.25 grams yesterday and had a pretty good day. Walked around for two hrs. Not much worse for wear today.
Although I plan not to take anything today.

So still looking up.

Taken my first 1.25 dose at work. Didn’t take anything yesterday and had an uncomfortable day sitting off and on (pain up and down from 1 to 4) .
So trying this in the early morning and hoping for less pain and discomfort than yesterday.

I just talked with Dr. P. today. Had his mega block 2 weeks ago. Getting some marginal relief but not enough.

Told him that yesterday was a pain-free day and that I had taken a Viagra on Sunday night. He immediately jumped on that and said it’s not uncommon for these drugs to benefit men with scrotal pain.

He works with an old-fashioned pharmacy that actually mixes and blends concoctions. Dr. P. has them blending tadalafil (sp?) the active ingredient in Viagra and Cialis along with oxytocin, a muscle relaxer. The pills are $125 per month (30 pills) which is about half the price of a prescription for Cialis.

He didn’t get that in depth with me on it. I got the cialis from him. When I am up and moving around it’s more of a dull ache with my right chord aching at the cut site. But the pill I took today the relief was short lived.

And I honestly think it has to do with circulation because once I got up and moved around the pain lessened.

I don’t know yet if this is the be all end all. But its been better than any pain medicine I have taken next to my first predisone pack I took.

Still haven’t taken it for a spin per say with sex but I have woken up with some firmer boners.
I’m still experimenting. I will take one Thursday and up the dosage again. Then saturday maybe take a half and get the wife to take a ride lol.

I have been taking viagra for a while with good results. The thing is its no good to be on that the rest of your life and its not fixing the problem.

#17

You are right. My hope is now that maybe finding the right dosage and staying on it long enough can give my nerves a chance to calm down. I am still slowly having movements forward. So I am still hesitant to do anything surgical or even get a block for the matter.

How often do you take it? And how much?

#18

I take half of the lowest dose 12.5mg but viagra mg are different to cialis dosage as viagra is short lasting and cialis is long. I only do 1 per week when lifes unbearable between tramadol, targin, and other meds.

#19

Haven’t tried the others you have mentioned. I can manage with out the Cialis but now I have tried it. It has made things better. For everyone here these are probably all looked at as diagnostic but that being said if surgery is out this is better than nothing I guess…

So taking ever other day has beneficial. I still yet to take a full dose in a single day. It has calmed my epy pain. Although achy and I still can’t be very active as in walking to long or jumping say or running. It is quiet the difference.

It has allowed me to feel the pain in the cut sites seems to be the main pain issues. When it hurts particularly it tends to make everything hurt worst.

I would suggest to anyone thinking about it to use this at least as one more diagnostic tool in the box to help you determine where the pain is coming from.

Thanks! Good to hear it’s helpful.

For everyone’s benefit, Dr. Parekatill definitely believes in the pain reduction power of Cialis to the point that he’s having a local pharmacy mix generic tadalafil with oxytocin (muscle relaxant). It costs $125/month, but that’s less than brand-name Cialis, so I ordered and just received a month’s supply. My pain levels have been pretty low, even non-existent this week, so I’m hesitant to add something new to the mix. I am still taking 50mg Elavil per day and might wean off that first and then introduce the Cialis.

#22

So your pain is non-existant? That’s great.

I have been taking a little Gabapentin the last few days and have ordered some of the compounded mix with Cialis and Oxytocin.

The thing that intrigued me was the Oxytocin. I had read a while back that oxytocin is an important hormone for bonding and relationship building so I am hopeful that will help.

Since my gut problems really took off I have felt off, which kind of reinforces to me the importance of gut health for regulation of well being. It will be interesting for me to see how that makes me feel.

#23

I wouldn’t say non-existentbut it has helped dial it back a bit. The chord pain still is as high as it still gets.

But worth a shot I think. It may work more for others depending on your issues.

#24

I am getting this “special mixture” as well. I’ll see how it goes. The key for me right now is preventing inflammatory processes as I heal post-reversal (7 weeks ago)

#25

This is all very exciting, this new mixture, really really hope it helps ! I’ll be watching for results.

#26

So I will say after taking a dose everyday for this past week my epy pain has died down. BUT another thing has come into play. I am no longer employed and no longer have a 40 min drive to work and 40 min drive back anymore. Let alone a 10min walk X 2 everyday. SO that may have something to do with it as well.

I think the meds are helping but still not the end result I was looking for. I wanted it to let me be more active but that doesn’t seem to the case.

I am curious though if TRUE cialis would work better if it has some better bonding agent when taken.

#27

I wanted to report after 5 days of taking the cialis/oxytocin compounded medicine prescribed in Dr. P’s clinic.

It has helped me. I don’t know how sustainable it is but my pain levels are down quite a bit.

I am worried the efficacy will wear out so I may cut back on weekends when I’m not in a chair.

A day without out pain is a good day.

#28

It surely works but i want to know why? I am thinking blood flow to region but why does more blood flow take pain away?

#29

@Loz Hypoxia…

#30

The more blood flow the more oxygen to the tissues. The pelvic pain specialist at Cleveland recommends 30 min hot baths nightly to increase blood flow to the pelvis basically this pill is doing it for you.

Hi Mike
Please give an update about cialis/oxytocin compounded medicine.
I’m curious
